Hey.  I just picked up a Commodore 64C with 1571 floppy drive, a shoebox full of discs (mostly blank or non-C64 formatted, sadly), printer, and an Amiga (which is in fairly poor condition) for $100.  I've checked some of the discs, and while, as I mentioned, most of them are either blank or incorrectly formatted, there are some gems in it, including GEOS (which doesn't work..  Cry ), H.E.R.O., M.U.L.E, Several Epyx games, AND a Quantum Link disc.

It also has several manuals and catalogs which I'm thinking of making an attempt at scanning/taking a picture of, including the 64C system guide and introductory guide.. Think I made a good purchase?

Sounds like a lot of money.  I'd pay $10 for the C64 stuff and depending on the type of Amiga it is (I'm guessing a 500), I'd pay up to $20.  If it's any other kind of Amiga, however, it's worth more.

What kind of Amiga is it?

Very cool that you got MULE -- you should play it!

Sorry, I should have specified.  Yes, it is an Amiga 500. It seems to have some non-standard screws in the remaining two non-stripped screw holes.  As soon as I can find a driver or attachment that can get said screws out, I'll see the condition of the motherboard/disc drive of the Amiga, and see what version rom it has.

For some reason, over here, old computers have been rather expensive as of late.  I had another option for getting a different C64 (just the system, no power supply, no cables, no disc drive) about 150 miles away for $75.

EDIT: Just cracked The Amiga open... Almost literally... Judging by the lack of special wires going into the rom, I'm betting it's a 1.x rom..

Also, the interior is in about the same condition as the exterior, save for the motherboard.  Decade-old gunk caked around the keyboard, rusted RF shield... I'm almost afraid about the condition of said keyboard.  That was, essentially, the main reason I bought this hardware collection, so I could fix my other Amiga.  The rom is also probably going to be put to good use, seeing as my other one has a 2.1 rom, which I know is incompatable with many games.

I have a couple of Amiga 500s, but they are acting up and I'm not sure what's wrong with them.  In fact, I think I was going to sell one to you a few years ago until I tried it and found it wasn't working anymore (they used to work fine when I got them -- about a decade ago). Any idea why that might be?  I haven't dug into it at all.

Where do you live, by the way?
