Welcome to the forum, RCoehrs!  It's great to have you.

That's a neat collection you've got there.  I've always wanted a MAME cocktail cabinet like that (I assume it's a MAME cabinet, anyway).  That 1984 rear-projection screen is classic.  I'm glad you saved that -- not many people appreciate the role old TVs played in video game history.

I'd post pictures, but due to some house re-arrangings, most of my stuff is cram packed in the garage in boxes.

I'd love to see pics of other people's collections though.

I might take pictures of my collection after I clean up around my work area, get a digital cam I can use, and get the stuff I want to purchase.  The majority of it is either on the top of my desk, in my closet, or in the case of my C64, ...somewhere...

Here are some pics of my collection:

My SNES Kiosk does not have a monitor and I haven't gotten a TV for it yet.

...Wow.  Just wow.  I have been meaning to get some bookshelves to properly hold my collection, rather than just putting them wherever I have room.

Awesome, Fred.  Thanks for sharing those pictures.  Some day I plan to build a storage building to hold my entire computer and video game collection properly.  Maybe then I'll finally be able to lay it all out and have a better look at everything I have. Smiley It might be more than a few years, though, so until then mostly everything is in boxes crammed onto shelves in my garage.

The 1984 50inch Projection TV is what really makes this collection. When I was a kid and all we had was a floor model TV. Which looking back why not because cable wasn't available in my area and all we got was 5 staticish channels. You could forget any TV watching on Sunday! Nothing came on that day. No wonder I loved video games so much. But I remember going to another kids house and they had a TV just like that and it blew my mind.

Now I own a huge TV and am not really that impressed but back then that was just amazing to me. I would like to get a TV like the one you have and replace the old CRT projectors with a new projector capable of a higher res. I might have to start looking at cragislist more often.

It really really does, I have 5 systems set up to play on it, Atari 2600, Intellivision, NES, Snes and Genesis All look great on it and really bring alot of extra enjoyment to the playing. Add a lazy boy right next to it and you got hours of fun and relaxation

I need a vacation and instead of going anywhere I'd like to spend 2 weeks doing that.

Can I come over?

I've got an idea: spend one week finding an old projection TV like that (I admit that it will be tough) and another week playing games on it. Smiley

Awesome find on the Aquarius stuff.  Can I trouble you for some high resolution scans of the box art for those Aquarius games?  They might come in handy for an article some day.
