nes cartridge attatchment

Hi- does anyone here remember an attatchment to put on nintendo (nes) games if they did not go in? I got a nes on ebay and ordered a game from another seller and was dev. that game did not go in
. Is this as it was made in a different country maybe? Any one know what I'm talking about or is this forum too young. I played this in the eighties?!!

I'd say either the NES you got is busted, or maybe the game you got was a Famicom game. The NES uses 72-pin cartridges, whereas the Famicom used 60-pin cartridges, as sort of a rudimentary region lock. Honestly, I'd go with the second one. What game did you get?
