I am in Dire need of a SNES, I don't need any cables for it or anything, just a SNES. Why? I shall tell you why...

I shall start the story with my life. Me and my girl broke up at the end of June. Since then I have been seeing this woman, getting along great and we have moved in together. She has a retro TV a SNES system and a couple games. Here's the fun part: The power plug in the system (where the AC Adapter plugs into on the physical SNES) has been completely removed from the console, to me, looks like the result of tripping over cables.

Now this wouldn't be too much of a problem if the system would stay on once we get the cable in the right spot. But now, here I am with a cart of FF3, SM:RPG, SM:W, and The Legend of Zelda for SNES, but a non-working system.

If anyone would like to sell, or maybe even... donate thier spare SNES, it would be GREATLY appreciated.

On a side note, I have only 1 working NES controller I have learned during my Bubble Bobble marathon. If anyone has one of these aswell it would be great to purchase one of these aswell...

OH YA!!! I also have 3 copies of Super Mario Bros./Duckhunt... but only one light gun... Wanna sell me one of those aswell? I am willing to trade some things. I have a few Dreamcast systems (non-tested, no cables) and like I said, spare copies of the most common NES game Tongue lol.

So... Needed:
SNES System
NES Controller
NES Light gun.

Offering:
Money
Other Games (I don't have much games anymore)
A Modified Xbox 1 (No controllers, wires will be provided)
To Accept Donations gracefully

(Basically the issues with the SNES

This is what I'd do if I was you. I'd get a female and male barrel connector from Radioshack or where ever. I'd cut the end off the snes adapter, I'd cut about 3 or 4 inches of wire off the adapter. Use the wire you cut off the adapter to make a pigtail connector to solder into the snes with the female barrel connector on the other end of it. Then solder the male end on the power adapter.

So in other words, I should just make a permanently attached power adapter for the SNES? Very possible, and easy

You could do that also.

I'd say give replacing the connector in the SNES a shot.  If it's the connector on the cable that's bad, that is even easier to replace.  Or replace both at the same time with matching connector sizes if you can't find the SNES size.  Either way, minor hacking, even for something as simple as that, can be fun and satisfying!

If you can't replace the connector, I just found an SNES I thought I sold earlier.  I'm not sure if it works, but I'll try to hook it up later to find out.

That would be amazing Sir Paul!
