I have a Commodore 128D, that was a cherished family friend until it ran afoul of younger members of my family last year.   The keyboard is a mess, but the machine itself still runs (could use some retrobright) and I have a lot of its booklets, discs and its original box (no packing material).  Not sure how many 128D fans are out there would want it, but if you would cover postage (not sure of the weight) it can be yours.  I am in the US and have no idea how heavy this thing is to send.

I can't bring myself to put it on the curb.

All inquiries welcome.

You say the keyboard is a mess.  What exactly do you mean? Does it work?

The L key doesn't work.  Not like you need an L key to use the Commodore thought  Tongue

You're right.  I can still use the good old "oad" command to run programs off the disks.

I wonder how hard it would be to take a standard 128 keyboard and fit it into the D's keyboard?

I had found this link when looking for a solution, but I bookmarked it and tried looking for a new keyboard instead of attempting anything.

Hmm.. I really want it.  I really do.  Problem is, I don't think I have the money for shipping... Well, I do, it's just that said money is to be spent on gas and insurance..

Decisions, decisions...

Go for it, SirPaul!  The 128D is a pretty rare machine.

Sorry about not getting back to everyone, I got a lot of msgs and emails about this machine and it is about to go to its new home far away from me.  I apologize again for not posting here sooner.  What a great message board this is, I thought it would take forever to find a new home for my machine, but i had 10 msgs in the first 3 days.
