Thinking about getting one of these. Mainly to SSH into my linux box at home when I'm on the john at work.

Weird.  Smells kinda fishy to me, especially for $175.  Even then, its usefulness seems questionable.  I'm guessing it will never actually be manufactured and sold.

All that being said, I'd take one for free. Smiley  If only to run a BBS in my pocket.  Mario Jump Blue

I've read about these things, they released one about a year back that ran Windows XP and it was pretty cool, until it melted all the flesh off of your hand because it gets entirely too damn hot. I'd be a second-gen adopter, if I were you.

Yeah, I agree with you on that. I've decided against it. Iphone has a terminal anyway so that I can SSH in emergencies. Just can't do some of this stuff I run in shell but it gets the job done for now.

Another problem with this smaller units like these net books and what not are the propitiatory parts. They are most likely to give trouble too because of the size where they've cut corners or left out parts to make it that small.

Best idea I've got other than using my iphone for ssh is a Murphy's table in the bathroom. Have it fold up for when you pee and fold down for when you have a sitting session. Just set your laptop down and go to town... in more ways that one.

Really amazing orsty3001, its even smaller than palmtop. And also having the features of internet, camera and all in such small package. Does it have all other functions of common PC like MS office, games....?

Never could find one around. Not sure what it's compatibility was on the software side of things.

Can't believe that was 2008 when I posted that.

Where is the time going?Huh?

Good question!  Glad you're still here all these years later. Smiley

I always wanted once of those things too.  I remember seeing them for sale once for about $400.

Ah I remember first seeing this post aswell. heres my follow up for 2 years later lol

With the way cellphones have gone in recent years (Android/iOS) do we really want a computer we can put on our wrist? Anything small enough to fit on our wrist will definately be matched in processing power/speed on something slightly bigger such as a cellphone.

I purchased myself an Android last September and so far the machine is GREAT! I bought the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 and the phone has yet to let me down.

So far, I am actually streaming movies/music to my cellphone at work over the web (free wifi at work) for lunch and such. It will even Sync up my library over WiFi now with winamp being on the Android platform. What makes this even better is once you are able to get your hands on the SDK... your windows are open Cheesy.
