My Small Collection

Hi guys, I'm Matt and I have started a small collection of vintage computers and recently acquired a decent amount of retro/vintage cameras.  My small collection of computers includes an Acorn BBC Micro model B and a Commodore Amiga A500+ with the uprated memory.

Collected these both for free from a kind gentleman via FreeCycle.org.  Unfortunately the BBCs disc drive needs repair as one of the connectors has came completely disconnected from it's cables.  If anyone else has a BBC Micro floppy drive and is willing to remove the casing and take pictures of all the wiring I would greatly appreciate it.

Pretty nice, but you're lacking an important game -- FirePower! You'd probably want some joysticks for it too. Old Genesis controllers work great for that.

How are you using your Amiga? Do you have a 1084 monitor or an A520 modulator for your TV?

I have an A520 modulator but unfortunately I don't currently have a dedicated space and monitor for the Amgia and the Beeb so I can't really use them very easily.  I forgot to include the boxed games I have, the ones I listed above are just loose floppy's.  The boxed (and mint condition might I add) games that I have are:

Airbus A320 - This game is ultra detailed; there is flight maps and approach charts for a large number of airports.
Epic
Reach for the Skies
Their Finest Hour - The Battle of Britain
Lemmings 2 - Tribes
MiG-29 - Fulcrum

I can't say yet, I'll need to get a more practical set-up and a joy-stick so I can try out all the games I have.  This coupled with the fact that I'm 18 years old so I didn't grow up with machines from this era.

My favorite Amiga game is the aforementioned FirePower, though there's a lot of nostalgia factored into that. I never had an Amiga growing up, but my buddy did, and we played that game a lot. About five years ago my friend gave me that Amiga. It sat around collecting dust (same situation as Matt; no dedicated space) for several years. At a certain point I decided to give it back to my friend, but he didn't want it, so I sold it on Craigslist. The buyer got a hell of a deal, too..
