I've only purchased two games at there release day price; one was Oblivion and the other was EQ2:Desert of Flame (because of a raid and we wanted to be the first). Around here the trick is the Goodwill Computer Store. Found a sealed copy of Oblivion just 3 months later ($4.99).

Sweet, that sounds like a good deal.

I just ordered Boom Blox for the Wii yesterday, by the way.  It looks pretty darn cool, and I'm hoping my wife will enjoy it as well.

Wow.  I hope Nintendo isn't monitoring this thread.  I hear they have a crack SWAT team task force for taking out mod-chippers.  police

Nintendo would make it illegal to breathe air unless it had Pokémon branding. .__.

Yeah. Reading back through this discussion, since I hadn't already, a major thing about modding a Wii is the addition of the region-free enabler. Nintendo for some reason (ie; moneys) added it late in development (after saying they won't do it) annoying everyone who imports anything.

Not that other companies don't region lock, just this is possibly one important reason for it. I don't own one myself, and might never will, depending on how I feel, heh. Games don't seem that great on the system so far, apart from a few key ones.

and a Major thing about the region free chips for the Wii is that, alot of games for the Wii do not even make it across seas

Softmod is worth doing. You can then run emulators. My favorite is ScummVM!  Grin

Hardware mod is good if you want to play your imports etc...

This sounds pretty easy:

I'm tempted to try it.
