I know this' been out for a while but i just saw it last night.
Has anyone else seen "The King of Kong"?

It was a pretty sweet movie. I definitely recommend it. It gets you kinda pissed, but ultimately leaves you happy. you really get to see into the cliquishness of the folks in charge at Twin Galaxies (http://www.twingalaxies.com/). I wonder how well the movie reflected the reality or it intentionally played it up.

Any other movies like this that people could recommend? or just any movie that you've seen that's good.

I think Jason Scott reported it was a played up to a degree (for an audience, it had the "Good vs. evil" angle right?)

I've not seen it, there isn't much report of it being available in the UK and I've not sought out a DVD to be shipped over here (if there is one yet? last time it was a cinema-only thing sadly!).

Do you want films in general or documentaries? I've not seen any documentaries recently sadly, sigh. I'd however recommend the animated film The Girl Who Leapt Through Time which was  good, but I've not seen much else worth mentioning (James Bond? that's about it, sigh.).

I do want to watch the BBS documentary (once I have time and some money I'll get it ordered up), and will be on the look out for Get Lamp since that does look like it'll be awesome.

I still haven't seen King of Kong, but I've been meaning to some day.  Netflix has it.

Then put it in your que!  It's actually pretty good... and even those in my family who aren't totally into video games were able to enjoy it.

And yet I'm having a hard time convincing my wife to watch it with me.  Maybe some day.

Well, King Dong makes sense, because it's a play on King Kong.  But I'm asking about King of Dong.
