I know what you mean.  I took apart all my toys as a kid to see how they worked.  These days, I don't take apart new things that I paid a lot of money for.  They usually age 5-10 years first before going under the screwdriver.

I'm kind of the same way, I'll have to find an excuse to open something up now.

When I was a kid I loved taking it apart but couldn't always get it back together. I got in trouble a lot doing that. Have no idea why I didn't stop.

Luckily, I always had my dad to help me if that happened.  I still need to get his help at times if I get in over my head with something extremely complicated (very small devices are usually a challenge).  He has every tool you'd ever need to put complex things back together.  I'm still glad to know that I'm actually better at putting things back together than I was when I was a kid.

That's awesome! I find myself buying tools all the time for different reasons. Not only is electrical engineering a hobby of mine but I also dabble in metal working and wood working. I'm always buying something, I don't understand why the tool truck doesn't just come by my house.

You can never have enough tools.  There's one out there for everything, and they're all useful.  I'd buy up the whole hardware store if I could afford it. Smiley
