Hello,

My name is Alec Ritchie, I'm a journalist for a prominent Australian gaming magazine called Hyper. I'm currently researching an article on classic video game collectors. I'm looking to interview people (via email) who collect vintage computer and console games as a hobby. If you are willing to answer a few questions and/or provide me with photographs of your collection (or individual pieces of a particular sentimental/financial value), I would be very much obliged. It would give you a chance to tell gamers about your collection and specifically why it is that you do collect vintage games.

This is not going to be a shallow 'list' piece, whereby the biggest collections are listed as opposed to the smallest. It is an investigative piece that will attempt to get into the mindset of the vintage game collector. Accordingly, anything you have to say on the philosophy of vintage gaming will feature heavily in the article.

If you are interested in featuring, please send me an email (alec.ritchie@uon.edu.au) or reply to this thread.

I think I'd be willing to help you out.  I need an excuse to photograph my collection anyways.
