Atari Christmas List

Dear Santa,

I would like Ms. Pac-Man, Centipede, Phoenix, Vanguard, Jungle Hunt, Kangaroo, Dig Dug, Galaxian, Pole Position, Battlezone, and Moon Patrol for Christmas. I would also like the ATARI 5200 (TM) Super-System (The world’s most advanced video game system), the ATARI 2600 (TM) System (The world’s most popular video game system), the ATARI 5200 TRAK-BALL (TM) Controller (For the real arcade touch. Plays more TRAK-BALL (TM) compatible games than anyone else), the ATARI VCS (TM) Cartridge Adapter (Lets your 5200 play every game made for ATARI game systems), and the ATARI TRAK-BALL (TM) Controller (For real arcade action on the ATARI 2600 (TM) System, Sears Video Arcade System and all ATARI Home Computers).

That’s all.

Sincerely,
Tommy L. Speddleman

P.S. Send me hardware and software, not underwear!

DITTO! Well not the 2600, I already have that… but everything else!

  2. KitsuneDarkStalker Says:

You needed that underwear back then, you’d crap your pants with excitement seeing the wonders of 40 pixels!

  3. KitsuneDarkStalker Says:

And what is up with asking for both the 2600 and the 5200? That’s like asking for the GBC and the GBA….GBA can do both…

  4. Zoy Says:

Yeah, but only the 2600 had fake wood panelling. So you’d get the 5200 for raw power, and the 2600 for atmosphere.

  5. Russ Says:

I had no idea that Atari was a Warner Communication Company.

Maybe that’s why AOL sucks so bad, it runs on 2600 technology.

I have a question more than a comment.
Back in the early-mid 90’s there was a cable company that came with video games. They had a game I loved but can’t remember the name of it you start off working your way through a pyramid going through all types of trials when you finally reach the top you get in a space ship and fly away. I was hoping someone would know the name of it and where I can get it…thanx…C.C.

  7. RedWolf Says:

Hehe. Atari was a Warner Communications company between 1976 and 1984. For more on Atari’s history, the Wikipedia Article on Atari does a pretty good job.

    And Celia,

You might be thinking of Time-Warner Interactive, which was a later incarnation of Atari Games. The game you’re describing is unfamiliar to me, though. Maybe someone else could help you.

I could realy use the undies though!? I play all my games in them!
