I'd like to see a Super Nintendo (screw the NES) cartridge made with a Compact Flash Card or USB Jump Drive slot so I could play a game directly from that on the Super Nintendo. But all I can find is this NES crap. WHY! WHY!!!

The alphabetical listing problem can be remedied easily with DriveSort:

http://www.anerty.net/software/file/DriveSort.php

I just found this program as I was searching for a way to defeat this issue myself. Essentially, you choose a sort method using DriveSort, and then the program rewrites the partition table for the drive. So, you copy your files to the compact flash, run DriveSort to sort, and you're golden... errr... listed alphabetically :).

I just ordered a GamePak and I cannot wait to get it!

Dwigt,

Multi-game flash cards have been around for the Game Boy for a long time, and they're still available for the Advance. I'm not sure about the Game Gear or Genesis, but somebody somewhere has probably released an Atari 2600 multi-cart at one point. For the Super Nintendo, the closest equivalent I know of is game copiers like the Super Wildcard DX2, although they load games off of disk, CD, or ZIP drive.

I would love PowerPak-equivalent products for the Genesis and the SNES. Who knows, maybe Brian of RetroZone is working on those now?
