Interesting read.

I thought Video Games were taboo in the U.S. educational system; after all are they not responsible for causing kids to turn flame throwers on teachers? Has gaming really been accepted by mainstream academia?

Wow, Critical Game Studies for 5th graders. :)

Interesting read, I remember writing in a similar style in grade 5 with one difference - my info was based on published material and was scrutinized by my teacher.

I think Paul's comment says it all.

Ouch. As a lifetime gamer and now a college librarian, that hurts. Although it's a great example about critically evaluating what students' find on the internet.

What teacher let this stuff pass? Just think, if this is their history of videogames, what is their history of America?

Thanks for this.

That's terrible. Was this like a foreign language elementary school? It's like I'm reading an instruction manual to a cheap motherboard or something. Meh. Anyway. At least they're close.
