Back in the day, my dad bought a KoalaPad drawing tablet for our Atari 800. Perhaps that very December — in 1984 or 1985, he drew this scene of the front of our house at Christmas time, complete with a view of our Christmas tree through our living room window. So proud was he of his creation that he snapped a photo of it with a Polaroid camera, and that’s the print I am showing to you now.

Merry Christmas from Vintage Computing and Gaming!

I remember programming snowfalls on my Amiga 2000 (in GFA Basic). Don’t know if that can be called art, though

I sure tried, but I made lousy holiday art. What yo’ pops did was the bees knees.

    KoalaPad, Atari 800, Polaroid… 80s overflow! 😀

    Have a great holiday!

Shortly after discovering MS Paint for the first time on a Win 95 machine I found myself deeply and inexplicably engaged in creating a picture of Marvin the Martian.

Not related to Christmas, but thinking back the idea of “painting” on the computer screen, with such a variety of tools and color palette, was pretty novel then.

    Merry Christmas everyone.

Oh, and I used to make Christmas cards with MS Word and clip art.

Great artwork by your dad. And captured with Polaroid; nice touch.
