It’s also interesting to note that you can pick up this Hori pad at the Nintendo World Store in NYC. That’s where I got mine. And I agree, I wish the button placement mimicked the SNES. It’s not noticeable on the GBA player, but it is on things like the Megaman or Megaman X compilations.

I got a new Retrocon (labeled used for some reason?) from a local GameStop recently for $5. You, also, might find one there.

I freaking love the Hori Digital Pad for Gamecube. It is great for games like Soul Calibur 2 on Gamecube as well as Gameboy games.

So what do you think of the MadCatz Retrocon on the PS2?

I have a TV mod for my first GBA that I got about a year or more before the Game Boy Player game out. It helped me play Castlevania: Circle of the Moon at the time, but I’ve never gone back to using it after I got my Game Boy Player.

Muahaha, a Hori pad for a whorey system! I will give you that the Gamecube has it’s classics (like 5 ), but if you’re just going to play GBA games, get a GBA modded or just use the PC.

Agreed. I got one of these guys when I ordered my GB Player. It is sweetness.

Another company has a knock-off of this for sale (I think Mad Catz?) I’d like to see how it compares (though I doubt it beats Hori).
