Game Boy Oddities on Technologizer

Just up is a new slide show I put together for Technologzier that showcases Game Boy oddities. It’s like a freak show for Nintendo’s venerable handheld, which turns twenty next week. Ever seen a Game Boy peripheral that dispenses laughing gas? How about one that demands tributes of child blood? If not, then mosey on over to Technologizer and take a look.

    Nitrous Oxide is N2O, not NO2 😉

  2. Benj Edwards Says:

Thanks for spotting the typo, svofski. I fixed it.

  3. Fessic Says:

Great write up Benj. Reminds me once again how much I regret trading in my old Game Boy. Who knows; by now…it could be tooling around Tokyo in someone’s platform shoe.

Look Benj, the PediSedate actually got mentioned on Gizmodo today:

    Coincidence? I think not.

Ok, I’d say you made those up, except that I already knew about the Game Boy Light and the Izek. I assume the one with the nitrous was just an idea someone had? Or is there actually somewhere that I can go to the dentist and get high off a GameBoy?

  6. Benj Edwards Says:

Yeah, it’s no coincidence, Jim. They used the image I put together for the slide show. But oh well, such is the nature of the Internet.

Feel free to post a link to the original slide show in their comments section if you want.
